Peak misery set in around noon today when I called to tell my mother I wasn’t going to make it to Easter dinner. Aches, pains, raw throat. A hot, sweaty, painful mess.
I napped and watched bad television and was visited by my daughter, who brought a whole mess of leftovers from Easter dinner and things started looking up. There is nothing better than my mother’s ham and green beans and a few hours spent chatting with my little girl.
I love my little girl. She isn’t so little any more, a full fledged adult now. I am so grateful I get to be around to see her grow up. She is one of most interesting people I know.
I still hate spring. If I wake up tomorrow in misery, someone will have to explain it to me.
